Changing your Google Account Password.

Changing your Google password is recommended for Grades 6 & up as they are learning to navigate more in their School issued Google account.

Changing a student's Google account password from the generic password (often provided at the elementary level) will prevent peers from easily guessing other student passwords.

Google passwords can be altered as a family and should be something the family will remember.

Examples of passwords could be a pet's name or a favorite hobby. We also recommend adding a number or special character for additional security.

To change a student's account password, follow the steps below.

1) First go to the Waffle at the top right of your inbox screen.

2) Next, select Account.

3) On the left side of the screen, select Security.

4) Next, scroll down to Password.

5) Input your old password and hit verify.

6) You will then create a new password. You will need to type the password twice for verification.

How to check your extension list.

If you are experiencing additional frustration while using Google Chrome to access the internet, you may have an extension that is conflicting with apps or websites you are attempting to utilize.

Corrupt extensions can also cause your Chrome Browser to have additional popups, and an unfamiliar home page, for example.

To check the extensions you have installed on your Chrome browser, follow the steps below.

Step 1. At the top right of your Chrome Browser, select the 3 dots.

Step 2. Scroll down and select Settings.

Step 3. On the left panel, select Extensions.

Here you will view all of the extensions your chrome browser has installed.

Removing any extensions that look unfamiliar or that you don't use is a great way to begin troubleshooting your Chrome browser's odd behavior. If you have any questions about an extension please feel free to reply with the extension you are questioning.
