How to update your Chrome browser
If the Chrome browser on your laptop is not up to date, your using the internet may become frustrating as you experience unusual glitches.
Checking to see if your Chrome browser needs an update is one of the first steps to take to troubleshoot the difficulties you are experiencing while using Google Chrome.
Step 1. On your computer, open Chrome.
Step 2. At the top right, you will see an icon displaying 3 dots. (shown on image above)
Step 3. If an update is pending, the icon will be colored:
Green: An update was released 2 days ago.
Orange: An update was released about 4 day ago.
Red: An update was released at least a week ago.
If you do not see a pending update, go back to the 3 dots displayed in the top right of your browser.
Step 1: Scroll down to Settings.
Step 2: Select About Google Chrome.
Step 3: Select Check for Updates.
Step 4: Your Browser will then download and relaunch chrome if an update is found.
The browser saves your opened tabs and windows and reopens them automatically when it restarts.

Avoiding suspicious requests or emails
Scammers frequently use email to trick you into giving them your personal information. They also know how to make their emails look like a source you know and trust. Scammers will mask themselves by pretending to be a familiar source and request personal information. This is called Phishing.
Phishing emails can be tricky to identify. Here are some ways to identify a phishing email.
1) The email is asking you to provide funds.
2) The email is asking you to verify personal information, such as a credit card number or social security number.
3) The email is requesting that you open a suspicious link or attachment.
If you have received a suspicious email, immediately report it to your administrators. Additionally, avoid clicking ANY links or providing ANY personal information. We also recommend you report the email as SPAM using the stop sign with the exclamation mark inside at the top of your inbox.

To check the extensions you have installed on your Chrome browser, follow the steps below.
Step 1. At the top right of your Chrome Browser, select the 3 dots.

Step 3. On the left panel, select Extensions.
